It's never too late, it's not too late
It's not too late for you
I have a plan for you
I have a plan for you
It's gonna be wild
It's gonna be great
It's gonna be full of Me
Open up your heart and let Me in
Here is what an "almost ordinary" week looks like for me.
Sunday:
- I attend a local German evangelical church and often enjoy a hike or nap in the afternoon, followed by a quiet evening.
First Period:
- I work with a small group of freshmen on completing homework and projects, studying for tests and quizzes, and building academic and organizational skills.
- I work with a senior every Monday and we plan out which other days she will come based on her weekly schedule and needs. She is focusing on learning self-evaluation and self-advocacy skills for college.
- I alternate days between working with another freshman and working with sophomore. They are both learning how to write research papers in their respective English classes.
- Prep. Period for planning lessons or administrative work.
- I teach Resource Math (There is just one sweet sophomore girl in this class.)
- I work with a junior on organization, follow-through, and motivation.
- I attend German 3.
- Observe and help in the middle school resource room every other Thursday during 6th and 7th period
- Volunteer at Sonne (boys' dorm) every other Monday night and Palm (girls' dorm) every other Thursday
- Attend Bible Study on Tuesday evenings
- Meet with a Language Partner after school on Thursdays
- Teach a middle school girl ballet after school on Fridays
- I buy milk at a local dairy, co mplete most of my weekly shopping, clean my apartment, and hang out with friends. (Or some combination of these things)
Please Pray...
That Sarah and I will develop good relationships with the new students joining us this semester in the resource room.
Praise God for the arrival of the ELL teacher and her husband, working with the chaplain. They are both settling in to their new home and jobs here.
Praise God that most of our students were successful on their exams and passed their first semester courses.
That God will continually be glorified through the staff and believing students at BFA.
