I Thessalonians 5:11
My first week back was spend adjusting to the time change. It took about six nights for my body to get back on track. I am thankful that I had this time to adjust before staff orientation. As the staff gathered again at the beginning of the year, we learned that the theme for this year is God's Faithfulness. He has definitely been showing his faithfulness in my life and I am looking forward to helping my students recognize his faithfulness in their lives as well. The students begin school on Wednesday, August 31.
Side Notes...
I enjoyed a trip to Campus Galli, a medieval cloister city which is being built here in Germany based off of plans made in the ninth century and using the techniques from that era. Two of my friends and I went over for the day and had a great time watching the blacksmiths, potters, weavers, and woodworkers. I have enjoyed a number of walks out in the woods, one of which included laying on the top of a castle tower stargazing with friends while listening to classical music. I returned to my church here and reconnected with friends and enjoyed going out to eat together after the service. It has been a good transition back filled with many blessings, and I am getting ready for starting this new school year.
Please Pray...
For strength for all the teachers and staff as the school is a bit understaffed this year.
For wisdom for the start of the school year, scheduling students, determining curriculum. etc.
For all the final support pledges to come through.
For God to continue to build up his church here and in California as we work together to advance his kingdom.
