I have been meditating on this section of scripture over the past few weeks. There have been days where I have been focused on the last verses about anxiety and God's peace. However, over the past few days, I have been focusing on the first few verses. There are many things to rejoice about as spring and Easter approach.
Things are busy in the resource room, but they are mostly going well. I am seeing areas of progress in each student as I look back over where they have come in the past 6 months. And the relationships with each of them continue to grow.
The weather has been very lovely lately, with a lot of sun and beautiful white clouds blowing across the sky. I have been able to get out a bit more for walking, hiking, or jogging in the evenings and on the weekends.
I celebrated my birthday over this past weekend and had one of the most lovely days. I had breakfast with one friend, went on a long hike with another, was cooked dinner by a third, and surprised by a group for ice cream in the evening!
Missionary Focus...
One of my student's families serves in a closed country in Central Asia. They have been allowed into the country as humanitarian aid workers and are involved in building wells. Many people in this country rely on rivers and open ditches for drinking water, which are often contaminated by animals, agricultural runoff, and human sewage. Please pray for this family as they bring Living Water to the people around them.
Side Notes...
Spring Break is quickly approaching, and I will be spending 5 days of vacation in Amsterdam.
I am enjoying trying some new German recipes in my cooking.
Soccer and Track season started this week here at BFA, with the first home soccer game next weekend.
Please Pray...
For my Grandpa who is in the hospital with congestive heart failure.
For the students and staff heading out on 9 different missions trips during the first week of Spring Break.
For my season allergies, that have started acting up.
For a good close to the third quarter, over the next three weeks.
For the new teachers that will be coming next year as they are currently in their application and/or support raising process. (BFA will be hiring a new resource teacher to work with me as Sarah moves back to the States to pursue a Master's in Social Work.)
